Still the Boy

I ditched the car in Shawlands
I didn't come to til three
I still get the dream I'm a farmhand
I wonder whether Ma still thinks of me,

Postcards paint a pretty picture
Almost truths and outright lies
No one ever looks right at me
They're all too busy with their own lives.

But I'm still the boy
And all the messages I've sent you
Everybody knew my name
Now the call is just last orders,
But me and that boy are still the same.

Took a train up to the highlands
Stood on a mountain bright and cold
Keeping an eye out for an Island,
Where I can be happy getting heavy and getting old.

I'm still the boy
